ABOUT US

scuba dive greece

Diving Pelion is situated in Leda hotel in Horton village, nearby Pelion mountain in Greece, offering efficient and first of all secure scuba dive training for all amateur levels, as well as first aid training at the most modern standards.

Amateur divers have the chance to experience scuba diving under totally safe and checked conditions, or to receive the internationally recognized scuba diver certificate Open Water Diver, by following our schools’ complete program.

For the certified scuba divers, we start our diving excursions from the beach Pagania of Horto in front of Leda hotel, in a variety of unique greek dive sites within three seas, to explore the coastline and the islets of the Pagasetic Gulf, towards the islets of Evoean Gulf, as well as the wild areas along the eastern coasts of Pelion and North Evia in the Aegean Sea.

The area is ideal for diving 365 days of the year, independent of the weather. The water conditions are ideal; the water is crystal blue and limpid, offering perfect underwater vision, while the underwater morphology is most impressive. Ship wrecks, vertical walls, reefs in the middle of the sea, gorgonian forests and contacts with large mammals (seals, dolphins) are the aims of our daily excursions. The particular geographical position and the strong permanent currents at some points, contribute to the preservation of the rich underwater flora and fauna in the wider area.

This also contributes to the maintenance of exceptionally rich submarine biodiversity in the wider region. The Pelion peninsula, on the eastern side of mainland Greece, is easily one of the most beautiful and unique parts of the country. Interestingly combining the sea and mountain, the region is one where natural beauty thrives and it is a perfect travel destination throughout the year.

The beauty of Pelion is visible to visitors the moment they arrive, as the green and the blue blend together in harmony, creating an absolutely unique and magical paradise. The Pelion peninsula however, is just as unique and stunning underwater as it is above. In the deep blue waters of the Pagasetic Gulf and the Aegean Sea, one discovers an amazing undersea world.

Leda Hotel is peacefully located amid stunning scenery on the outskirts of the traditional village of Horto on the Pelion Peninsula. It is by far one of the most beautiful Hotels of Pelion and is the ideal place for its visitors, providing easy access to all villages of South Pelion.

Leda Hotel is parted from scattering Pelion-style traditional mansions with view of the sea and the islands of Pagasitic Golf. Leda Hotel complex provides restaurant, beach bar, swimming pool, gym, children playground, tennis court, mini golf court, chess garden, yoga lessons and… of course diving and aqua sports!
